Maze's Fat-Head nails for metal roofing are 0.135 in. (10 ga) ring shank, double hot-dip galvanized nails with a 0.406 in. head and a gray silicone washer that Maze says is twice as thick as its black EPDM washers, so it can seal the nail hole even when not driven at right angles to the sheet. Maze warns against overdriving and notes that most metal roofing manufacturers call for at least 1 in. of penetration into the purlin. The series is offered in several lengths and is made in the USA.
