Smart Start (SKU 210) is Malarkey's full-size starter shingle, 16 3/8 in. x 38 1/4 in., perforated to separate into two code-compliant starter pieces for shingle exposures up to 6 3/16 in.; 18 full-size shingles (36 pieces) give 114 ft. 9 in. per bundle. It is made on a non-woven fiberglass mat coated with NEX polymer-modified asphalt, and Malarkey requires it under its shingles at the eave and recommends it at rakes; Windsor installations require Smart Start under the Windsor Starter. It is eligible for Limited Lifetime Warranty coverage when used with Malarkey shingles and one other Malarkey accessory.
