A clay mission tile system of pans and covers with a smooth surface, made in 18-3/8-inch, 16-inch and 14-1/4-inch lengths that can be laid in straight rows or staggered. The product pages print 1165 lbs and 163 pieces per square (18-3/8 inch), 1190 lbs and 192 pieces (16 inch) and 1250 lbs and 225 pieces (14-1/4 inch), each 8 inches wide with a 4-3/8-inch nominal installed barrel height and a 5:12 recommended minimum slope. It is offered in all standard and custom Ludowici colors, mists and blends, with custom textures including machine scoring, hand slushed and weathered, and the pages list Miami-Dade NOA 23-0125.08. The data sheet lists ASTM C1167 Grade 1 with water absorption less than 2 percent. IAPMO UES ER-452 (revised 05/29/2026) lists the Straight Barrel Mission tiles as Class A roof coverings when installed with ASTM D226 Type II underlayment over a nominal 0.5-inch plywood deck.
