Lucas #8400 is a solvent-based, low-solids, single-part 100% silicone roof coating that cures by absorbing moisture. The data sheet lists the same substrates as #8000 (spray polyurethane foam, EPDM, aged PVC, aged acrylic coatings, concrete, asphalt BUR, granulated modified bitumen and metal), with Lucas #1015 over asphalt roofs and Lucas #8015 over TPO, and not over aluminum-coated roofs. Typical properties printed are 81% solids by weight, 71% solids by volume, 550% elongation, initial reflectance 0.83, aged reflectance 0.72, emissivity 0.89, SRI 106 and VOC under 220 g/l. It is sold in 5 gallon containers in white, and the data sheet references ASTM D6694. The data sheet carries the UL mark for cements and coatings for roof systems as to external fire exposure. The printed product warranty is one year from the date of purchase.
