Lomanco's Whirlybird turbine ventilators are all-aluminum wind turbines in 12 in. and 14 in. (Big Whirly) sizes, internally braced (BIB) or externally braced (BEB), with tile-roof (TR) versions and a galvanized steel GT-12/GEB-12 in mill finish. The flyer prints permanently lubricated upper and lower ball bearings, a riveted spider-type structure, 21 air-foil curved vanes with rolled edges to deflect water, a vari-pitch base that adjusts to 12/12 (7/12 for the galvanized models) and that the 14 in. model moves up to 37 percent more air than the 12 in., and states the turbines were tested to withstand winds of 110 m.p.h. without naming a test standard. Lomanco's Forever Guarantee covers the turbines against defects due to workmanship, parts or mechanical failure, is transferable, and applies to residential attic exhaust use only.
