A single-leaf roof access hatch for ladder access (Model RH), also offered with an acrylic skylight dome in the lid (RHD), a flat glass lid, fixed louvered curb sides for gravity ventilation (RHL), and a longer stairway opening for steep or gradual stairs (SH). Ladder sizes run from 24 x 24 in. to 48 x 48 in. inside dimension and stairway sizes from 30 x 54 in. to 36 x 96 in., with special sizes on request. The specification calls for a 14 gauge galvanized steel or 0.125 in. aluminum cover and 12 in. high curb with 1 in. insulation, a 3-1/2 in. mounting flange, pintle hinges, hold-open arm, padlock lugs and a continuous draft seal; the drawings show compression spring operators and a maximum 75 degree opening.
