A roof smoke vent for applications where snow load or stricter standards apply, which the maker states is designed to meet Underwriters Laboratories requirements. The covers open against a 10 psf snow or wind load when the approved fusible link releases or the unit is manually released, stay fully open until closed by hand, and use hydraulic shock absorbers; an inside manual release (outside optional) allows operation without disturbing the fusible link, and the latch resets on closing. Sizes run from 48 x 48 in. to 48 x 96 in. inside dimension, with intermediate lengths on request.
