A double door roof smoke vent (Model SVD-10) offered as an alternative to the maker's Listed Smoke Vent, which the maker states was tested to UBC 15-7; the doors open against a 10 psf snow load with opening force controlled by heavy duty shock absorbers. It has an inside manual release (outside optional) for periodic testing without disturbing the fusible link, and can be supplied self-flashing or curb-mounted. The drawing shows a UL approved fuse link, an acrylic dome with optional double dome in an extruded aluminum retaining frame, a 16 gauge galvanized steel cover and a 14 gauge galvanized steel curb.
