Kool Seal Elastomeric Base Coat (KS0034600) is a gray, 100% acrylic roof base coat applied under Kool Seal Elastomeric Finish Coats, which must top-coat it. Its product data sheet lists 33% volume solids, 43% weight solids and VOC under 50 g/L, calls for 50-100 sq ft per gallon per coat with two coats recommended, and lists metal, single-ply, smooth BUR, modified bitumen, polyurethane foam, concrete and existing asphaltic and elastomeric roof coatings as substrates; it is not for use on roof shingles. It is sold in 1-gallon and 5-gallon sizes.
