Kingspan OPTIM-R is a rigid vacuum insulation panel from Kingspan Insulation, with a microporous core that is evacuated, encased and sealed in a thin, gas-tight envelope, installed with cut-to-fit infill insulation around penetrations. Panels are 20 to 50 mm (0.79 to 1.97 in) thick, 300 to 600 mm wide and 300 to 1200 mm long, with center-of-panel R-values of 26 to 60 per ASTM C1667 and a minimum compressive strength of 23 psi per ASTM C165. The data sheet lists single-ply roofing, inverted roofing and balcony and terrace systems, and states FM Approval to FM Class 4470 for certain single-ply, modified bitumen, built-up and liquid-applied roof assemblies. Kingspan Insulation publishes a 15-year limited product warranty for it.
