Kingspan OPTIM-R E is a rigid vacuum insulation panel from Kingspan Insulation with a microporous core sealed in a gas-tight envelope and then encapsulated in a polyurea coating, installed with cut-to-fit infill insulation around roof penetrations. Panels are 20 to 50 mm (0.8 to 2.0 in) thick, 400 to 600 mm wide and 400 to 1200 mm long, with center-of-panel R-values of 29 to 67 and effective R-values of 19 to 47 per ASTM C1667, and a minimum compressive strength of 23 psi per ASTM C165. The data sheet lists conventional and inverted roofing systems, use in Class A, B or C roof-covering assemblies UL Classified to UL 790, and Roof Deck Construction 735 under UL 1256 (UL file R38653).
