KEMPERTEC EP5 Primer is a quick-cure, solvent-free, high-solids, two-part epoxy primer used between prepared substrates and KEMPEROL cold liquid-applied reinforced membrane and coating systems. Its listed substrates include bitumen roofing, concrete, brick, plywood, steel and glass, with adhesion tests required on aluminum, lead, copper or zinc, and it is also used for alkalinity protection of KEMPEROL polyurethane membranes before cementitious mortar or adhesive is applied. It is sold in 1 kg and 5 kg work packs, the 5 kg pack covering about 85 square feet, with a VOC content of 8 g/L.
