KEMPERTEC D Primer is a solvent-free, odor-free, high-solids, two-part polyurethane primer used between prepared substrates and KEMPEROL cold liquid-applied reinforced membrane and coating systems. Its listed substrates include modified bitumen roofing, coated-glass-faced high-density polyiso cover board, plywood, steel, galvanized steel, aluminum, lead, copper, zinc and glass, and the membrane must be applied within 7 days of priming. It is sold in a 7.5 kg work pack covering about 187 square feet, with a VOC content of 3 g/L. KEMPERTEC R Primer, published on its own data sheet, is the quick-cure polyurethane version for the same substrates, sold in 1.0 kg and 3.0 kg packs.
