KEMPERTEC Asphalt Primer is a general-purpose, single-component asphalt primer used to promote adhesion of KEMPEROL SBS modified bitumen membranes to approved substrates, and the data sheet states it meets ASTM D41. It is required for torch-applied, hot-mopped and cold-applied membrane applications in new construction and recover work, covers about 100 to 200 square feet per gallon, and is supplied in 4.75-gallon pails. The data sheet also lists damp-proofing of below-grade walls as a use and limits the product to exterior applications.
