KEMPERTEC Asphalt Cold Adhesive is a cold-applied, single-component, asbestos-free asphaltic adhesive formulated for adhering KEMPEROL SBS Mop modified bitumen base and cap sheets without kettles or torches. It is applied by spray or notched squeegee to concrete decks, approved cover boards and other approved substrates at about 1.5 to 2.0 gallons per 100 square feet, and is supplied in 4.75-gallon pails. The data sheet states it can also bond gravel and mineral granules to BUR systems and modified cap sheets, and that it is not recommended for thermoplastic or thermoset membranes.
