KEMPEROL SBS Cap is a 3.0 mm (120 mil) granule-surfaced SBS modified bitumen cap sheet reinforced with a nonwoven polyester mat and fiberglass strands, with white as the standard granule color and a granule-free selvage edge. It is sold as KEMPEROL SBS Cap Torch, with a burn-off polyethylene film for heat welding, and KEMPEROL SBS Cap Mop, sand-backed for hot asphalt or KEMPERTEC Asphalt Cold Adhesive, in 1.0-square rolls. The data sheet describes it for new roofing and recover applications as the top layer of a multi-ply assembly or beneath the KEMPEROL cold liquid-applied membrane system, and lists ASTM D6164 Type I Grade G.
