KEMPEROL SBS Cap G FR is a fire-resistant, granule-surfaced SBS modified bitumen cap sheet reinforced with a fiberglass mat saturated and coated with asphaltic bitumen and SBS elastomers, 4.2 mm (166 mil) torch-applied and 4.4 mm (173 mil) mop-applied, with white as the standard granule color. It is available sand-backed for mopped or KEMPERTEC Asphalt Cold Adhesive applications or with a burn-off polyethylene film for heat welding, in 1-square rolls measuring 39 3/8 in. by 32 ft 9 in. The product sheet describes it for new roofing and recover applications as the top layer of a multi-ply assembly or beneath the KEMPEROL cold liquid-applied membrane system, and lists ASTM D6163 Type I.
