KEMPEROL SBS Cap FR is a fire-resistant, granule-surfaced SBS modified bitumen cap sheet reinforced with a nonwoven polyester mat and fiberglass strands, 4.2 mm (166 mil) in the torch-applied version and 4.4 mm (173 mil) in the mop-applied version, with white as the standard granule color. It is sold as KEMPEROL SBS Cap Torch FR and Cap Mop FR in 1.0-square rolls, and the product page also lists a KEMPEROL SBS Cap FR (Ultra White) version with reflective granules, whose sheet reports a 3-year aged solar reflectance index of 68. The data sheet describes it for new roofing and recover applications as the top layer of a multi-ply assembly or beneath the KEMPEROL cold liquid-applied membrane system, and lists ASTM D6164 Type I Grade G.
