Karnak 229AR Elastomeric is a single component, SBS rubber reinforced asphalt roof coating offered in brush, spray and trowel grades. The maker lists the brush grade as a coating for built-up, SBS and APP modified bitumen, concrete and spray polyurethane foam roofs, and the trowel grade for repairs on those roofs, metal roofs and inactive coal tar roofs. Its product page lists ASTM D4479 Type I for the brush grade and ASTM D4586 Type I Class I for the trowel grade, with 350 percent elongation by ASTM D412. It is black, sold in 55 gallon drums, 5 gallon pails and 3 gallon containers.
