TopGard 4000 is a one-part acrylic elastomeric roof coating used as a reflective top coat over smooth or mineral-surfaced asphalt-based systems, single ply and metal roofing; over metal it may serve as both base and top coat, while over asphalt, modified bitumen and single ply TopGard Base Coat goes on first. The data sheet (RS-2129, 5-21) lists white and tan, an initial solar reflectance index of 104 for white (93 after 3 years), physical properties tested to ASTM D6083, 5 gallon pails, 55 gallon drums and 275 gallon totes, and application at 50 degrees F and rising.
