JM SA (Self-Adhering) Cap is a self-adhering, polyester-reinforced SBS modified bitumen mineral-surfaced cap sheet, applied in dry weather with the roll at 60 degrees F or warmer, with end laps secured with JM MBR cements or heat welded. The data sheet (RS-3114, 4-24) prints a thickness of 160 mil and a roll about 1 m wide by 10 m long covering 95.8 square feet at 105 lb, made in South Gate, California, and gives the standard white granule an initial solar reflectance index of 29 (26 aged). Its listed substrates include primed metal, primed concrete, unsanded asphalt, OSB or plywood, ENRGY 3 and JM NailBase.
