GlasKap is a fiber glass-reinforced, asphalt-coated, mineral-surfaced cap sheet with ceramic-coated granules, used as the cap sheet in built-up roofing systems and set in hot mopping asphalt. The data sheet (RS-2019, 3-23) says it meets ASTM D3909, is classified by UL as a Type G-3 coated cap sheet (fire class depends on the roof construction listed in the UL directory), and is approved by FM Global in numerous constructions. It prints a roll weight of 72 lb and a coverage of 101 square feet, with white made in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and colours in South Gate, California, and lists a system-dependent Peak Advantage guarantee of up to 20 years.
