ENRGY 3 HD is a 1/2 inch high-density polyisocyanurate cover board with glass- reinforced facers, used as a protective cover board over insulation or an existing roof directly beneath the membrane. The data sheet (RS-5635, 5-25) prints a 4 by 8 foot board weighing 9 lb, an R-value of 2.5, a minimum compressive strength of 80 psi, properties tested in accordance with ASTM C1289, and refers to UL 790 and FM 4450/4470 approvals in the UL and FM directories. It lists a guarantee of up to 30 years when used in most JM multi-ply or single ply systems.
