DynaWeld Cap is a fiber glass-reinforced, SBS modified bitumen, mineral-surfaced cap or flashing sheet with ceramic-coated granules and a polyolefin burn-off film, installed by heat welding in multi-ply roofing systems. The data sheet (RS-4728, 6-24) says it meets ASTM D6163 Type I Grade G and prints a roll about 1 m wide by 10 m long covering 95.8 square feet at 106 lb, made in South Gate, California and Macon, Georgia. Colours are white, black and a 3M smog-reducing granule; the standard white granule has an initial solar reflectance index of 29 (26 aged). It lists a Peak Advantage guarantee of up to 30 years in most 2 to 5 ply JM SBS systems.
