DynaWeld Cap FR is a fire-retardant, fiber glass-reinforced SBS modified bitumen cap or flashing sheet with ceramic-coated granules and a polyolefin burn-off film, installed by heat welding in multi-ply roofing systems; its SBS blend carries added fire-retardant additives. The data sheet (RS-4387, 3-21) says it meets ASTM D6163 Type I Grade G and prints a roll about 1 m wide by 10 m long covering 95.8 square feet at 106 lb, made in South Gate, California, Macon, Georgia and Plattsburgh, New York. Colours are white, black, tan and red; the standard white granule has an initial solar reflectance index of 29 (26 aged). It lists a Peak Advantage guarantee of up to 30 years in most 2 to 5 ply JM SBS systems.
