DynaWeld Base is a fiber glass-reinforced SBS modified bitumen base, ply or flashing sheet with a fine mineral parting agent and a polyolefin burn-off film, installed by heat welding in multi-ply roofing systems and usable as a backer ply in two-ply flashing systems. The data sheet (RS-4388, 3-21) says it meets ASTM D6163 Type I Grade S and prints a roll about 1 m wide by 10 m long covering 95.8 square feet at 84 lb, made in South Gate, California and Macon, Georgia. It lists a Peak Advantage guarantee of up to 30 years in most 2 to 5 ply JM SBS systems.
