DynaGrip Cap is a self-adhering, fiberglass-reinforced SBS modified bitumen cap sheet surfaced with ceramic-coated granules and backed with a peel-off plastic film, installed without hot asphalt or heat welding in multi-ply JM SBS systems. The data sheet (RS-4706, 2-20) prints a 150-mil thickness, a 96 lb roll of 39 3/8 inches by 32 feet 10 inches covering 95.8 square feet with a 4-inch side lap, a six-month shelf life, a minimum roll temperature of 60 degrees F at application, and a solar reflectance index of 25 for the standard white granule. It lists recommended substrates including primed metal, ENRGY 3 polyiso, unsanded asphalt, primed concrete and unwaxed OSB or plywood, and a Peak Advantage guarantee of up to 30 years in most 2 to 5 ply JM SBS systems.
