DynaBase is a fiberglass-reinforced SBS modified bitumen base or ply sheet with a fine mineral parting agent on both sides, used in multi-ply roofing systems and as a backer ply in two-ply flashing; it may be mechanically fastened, set in urethane adhesive, Type IV hot asphalt or cold adhesive, and needs an approved surfacing if used as a cap sheet. The data sheet (RS-4111, 3-21) says it meets ASTM D6163 Type I Grade S, prints a roll 39 3/8 inches by 49 feet 2 inches covering 148.2 square feet, low-temperature flexibility to -30 degrees F, and production in South Gate, California, Macon, Georgia and Plattsburgh, New York. It lists a Peak Advantage guarantee of up to 30 years in most 2 to 5 ply JM SBS systems.
