JM Asphalt Primer is a one-part, black, specification-grade penetrating prime coat used to prepare substrates before hot asphalt or cold adhesive in BUR, SBS and APP modified bitumen roofing systems; it is not a finish coat. The data sheet (RS-2065, 9-19) says it meets ASTM D41 Type II and lists 4.75 gallon pails, coverage of 1/2 to 1 gallon per 100 square feet, a maximum VOC under 350 g/l, and application between 40 and 100 degrees F.
