APPeX 4S is a premium polyester-reinforced APP modified bitumen smooth cap, ply or flashing sheet for APP multi-ply roofing; as a cap sheet it needs an approved surfacing. The data sheet (RS-4301, 9-23) says it meets ASTM D6222 Type I Grade S and prints a thickness of 146 mil and a roll about 1 m wide by 10 m long covering 95.8 square feet at 100 lb. A sanded base-sheet version, APPeX 4S Sanded, has its own data sheet (RS-4306) on the same page. The data sheet says UL Class A ratings may be obtained in numerous new and re-roof constructions at slopes up to 1 inch per foot. It lists a system-dependent Peak Advantage guarantee of up to 20 years.
