Palisade UDL is a four-layer mechanically attached synthetic underlayment for steep-slope roofs whose top surface carries the maker's patented Stronghold Skid Resistant Technology, a pattern of polymer dots, over a grip-enhanced back coating, for use under metal, asphalt and synthetic shingles, primed cedar shakes, slate and tiles. The data sheet prints a 20 mil thickness, a blue/blue colour in the maker's Kool Blue low-glare finish, 41.5-inch by 290-foot rolls covering 1,000 sq ft at 33 lb per roll, up to six months of UV exposure and a lifetime limited warranty; the product page gives the 10-square roll as 37 lb. The data sheet lists ICC-ES AC188 (ESR-1847), ASTM D4869 Types I through IV, ASTM D226 Type II, CSA A123.3, a Class A fire resistance rating to ASTM E108, Texas Department of Insurance, Florida approval FL5325 and Miami-Dade NOA 21-0326.06.
