Palisade Butyl-HT Plus is a high-temperature (265 F), non-asphaltic, 100 percent pure butyl self-adhered underlayment for steep-slope roofs, which the maker says adheres to the deck and at laps down to 10 F. It carries the Stronghold skid-resistant woven polypropylene top surface and is marketed as compatible for use under copper, zinc, metal, asphalt and synthetic shingles, primed cedar shakes, slate, tiles, EPDM and TPO. The data sheet prints a 40 mil thickness, a blue/black colour and a water vapor permeance below 0.05 perms, and reports passing results to ASTM D1970 test methods for unroll-ability, tensile load, tear resistance, adhesion to plywood, thermal stability, flexibility at -20 F, sealability around nails and lap-seam integrity, plus liquid water transmission to ICC-ES AC188. The product page claims up to six months of UV exposure; the data sheet prints no warranty term.
