NovaSeal ULTRA is the heaviest of the NovaSeal mechanically attached synthetic underlayments: a four-layer design with a non-woven walking surface and a grip-enhanced back coating, for residential or commercial steep-slope roofs under metal, asphalt and synthetic shingles, primed cedar shakes and tiles. The data sheet prints a 13 mil thickness, a tan/tan colour, 4.9 oz/yd2 fabric weight, 48-inch by 250-foot rolls at 35 lb and a 250 psi Mullen burst; the product page claims UV protection for up to 180 days and says it will not crack or dry out under metal or tile. The data sheet lists ICC-ES AC188 (CCRR-1105), ASTM D8257, ASTM D4869 Types I through IV, ASTM D226 Type II, CSA A123.3, a Class A fire resistance rating to ASTM E108, Texas Department of Insurance, Florida approval FL 26367 and Miami-Dade County product control approval; the product page's own code list omits ASTM D8257.
