IKO StormShield Ice & Water Protector

StormShield is IKO's mineral-surfaced, self-adhered ice and water protection membrane: a non-woven glass fiber mat coated with polymer-modified bitumen, with a silicone-treated release sheet, used under shingles against ice dams and wind-driven rain and as flashing around chimneys, dormers, vent stacks and skylights. The December 2025 data sheet gives a 36 in. x 65 ft. roll (195 sq. ft.), 43 mils thick with a 3 in. selvage, allowable UV exposure of up to 30 days in the US, and an ASTM E108 Class A fire test result when installed with a Class A asphalt shingle over a minimum 3/8 in. deck; the sheet's own heading reads "Fiberglass-Reinforced Asphalt Shingles" although the product is a membrane, and its Miami-Dade and HVHZ approvals apply to product sold in the southeast U.S.
