Hip & Ridge 12 is IKO's fiberglass-reinforced, perforated and tapered hip and ridge cap shingle that yields three capping pieces from each 36 in. x 13 1/4 in. shingle, at a 5 5/8 in. exposure and 29.53 linear ft. per bundle, with IKO's FastLock sealant and blue-green algae resistance. IKO's technical data sheet (04/2026) lists it with an FM 4473 / UL 2218 Class 3 impact resistance rating, which IKO presents solely to help owners obtain an insurance premium discount and states is not a guarantee of impact performance; hail damage is not covered under the limited warranty. IKO states that Hip and Ridge 12, Hip and Ridge Class 4 or an equivalent IKO-approved cap is required for warranty coverage of its shingles.
