EdgeSeal is IKO's two-sided, self-adhering roof starter roll: a fiberglass-reinforced polymer-modified asphalt membrane, 7 7/8 in. wide and 67.3 linear ft. per roll (45.3 mils thick), that bonds the drip edge, ice and water membrane and first course of shingles along eaves and rakes to help prevent wind uplift and blow-off. It is cut to length and applied by peeling the release film, with no nails. IKO lists ASTM D1970 as its product standard.
