IBARRIER SA Membrane is a 31-mil self-adhesive SBS modified bitumen air barrier and vapor retarder surfaced on top with a tri-laminate polyethylene film and on the underside with a single silicone release film, installed over wood, steel, structural concrete and gypsum decks and adhered-rated gypsum cover boards beneath mechanically fastened insulated roof systems. The technical data sheet says it needs no primer on new steel decks (other substrates are primed with IBARRIER primers), may be left exposed for up to 90 days, is applied at 50 degrees F and rising, prints a water vapor permeance of 0.03 perm and a cool-bending temperature of -58 degrees F, and warns it is not suitable for direct adhesion of IB PVC membranes, which need a separation sheet or insulation between. Rolls are 3.75 by 134 feet. The sheet's own roll-size table is headed with the name of a different product, IBARRIER XP SA Membrane.
