IB Uni-Prime is a single-component, solvent-based, polymer-modified bond-enhancing primer for IB coatings, used over weathered single-ply membranes (EPDM, Hypalon, KEE, PVC and TPO), aluminum, galvanized and Galvalume steel, painted metal and existing non-siliconized coatings. The TDS states it is formulated to block thermoplastic plasticizer migration into the coating. It is light red, sold in 5-gallon pails, applied at 0.4 to 0.5 gallons per 100 square feet (6 to 8 wet mils) and must be top coated after drying. The TDS lists a VOC content under 250 g/L and states it is not intended for asphalt, concrete or other rough or porous substrates.
