IB Bleed Block is a single-component, water-based, bleed-resistant acrylic elastomeric base coat, red in color, used over granule-surfaced asphalt and modified bitumen roofs to reduce asphaltic bleed-through and discoloration of acrylic or silicone finish coats. IB states it may also be used over aged Hypalon and PVC single-ply roofs to reduce plasticizer migration, subject to an adhesion test. It is sold in 5-gallon pails, 55-gallon drums and 275-gallon totes, with VOC under 50 grams per liter.
