IB Acrylic SW is a highly reflective, single-component, water-based acrylic elastomeric roof coating that IB Roof Systems designs for hot-weather climates, for aged galvanized metal panel roofs, primed smooth and granule-surfaced asphaltic roofs, polyurethane foam and aged aluminized asphaltic roofs. The technical data sheet (Rev. 01-2024) marks it climate-zone restricted: it is not suitable for, and is ineligible for an IB coating warranty in, mountain climates or areas where the temperature can stay below freezing for more than 24 hours, and it names southern California and the Mojave, Sonoran and Chihuahuan desert regions as examples of its use area. It prints 53 percent solids by volume, VOC under 50 g/L, solar reflectance index values of 104 initial and 90 aged for white and 90 and 84 for cool sand, and a "UL Class A Fire Classification per UL790/ASTM E108"; it is CRRC listed and Title 24 compliant. It comes in white and cool sand in 5, 55 and 275 gallon containers.
