Roof Guard #2050 is a white, high-build, 100% acrylic/urethane elastomeric roof coating containing Hy-Tech's ThermaCels ceramic microspheres, for sloped or flat roofs on residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Hy-Tech lists use over wood, shakes, primed metal, asphalt, built-up and tar-and-gravel roofs, rolled roofing, concrete and clay tile, and specifies Bond-It #SR1220 primer on wood, concrete, clay tile and chalking painted surfaces and Aqua Prime #15 on new metal. Two coats are required at 100-125 sq ft per gallon per coat (60-75 on tar and gravel), by brush, roller or airless spray, and it is sold in 1-gallon cans and 5-gallon pails. Hy-Tech's data sheet states a 10-year limited warranty on sloped roofs and a 5-year limited warranty on flat roofs against chipping, cracking and peeling when applied to its specifications.
