H-Shield HD Composite CG is a monolithic composite roof insulation panel made by manufacturing a 1/2 inch H-Shield HD high-density polyiso cover board on-line to H-Shield CG faced polyiso, for new and retrofit low-slope roofing. It is offered in 47.5 by 47.5 inch and 47.5 by 95.5 inch panels in thicknesses of 1.5 to 4.0 inches, with a total LTTR R-value of 8.2 to 23.0 per the technical data sheet. The data sheet lists ASTM C 1289 Type IV, IBC Chapter 26, Florida Product Approval FL 5968, Miami-Dade County Product Control approval, California Title 24 license TI-1420, UL 790, UL 1256 and UL 263 classifications, and FM 4450 and FM 4470 approval for Class 1 insulated steel deck construction. It states UL Class A in virtually all roof assemblies at a 2 inch minimum thickness, UL Class A at a 3.0 inch minimum directly over a combustible deck, and an FM Very Severe Hail rating.
