ZIP System Roof Sheathing is a Structural 1 engineered-wood roof panel with a factory-laminated water-resistive layer that serves as the roof underlayment; with the seams sealed by ZIP System flashing tape or liquid flashing it forms a sealed roof deck that Huber says replaces felt, takes metal, tile, asphalt, fiberglass or cedar shingle coverings, and meets FORTIFIED Home requirements. Panels are 4 by 8 feet in 7/16, 1/2 and 5/8 inch thicknesses (PS-2 span ratings 24/16, 32/16 and 40/20), with a radiant barrier version that Huber says cuts radiant heat transfer by as much as 97 percent. The product page and the January 2026 radiant barrier sell sheet print 12 to 16 perms for the overlay (ASTM E96 Procedure B) and list ICC-ES ESR-1473 and IAPMO UES ER-424, and Huber backs the system with a 30-year limited warranty and a 180-day exposure guarantee. Huber's own tables disagree on the 5/8 inch radiant barrier panel, listing it at 40/20 in the product options and 24/16 in the specification table.
