GulfSeam is a 1-3/4 in. snap-lock standing seam panel attached with clips and needing no seaming equipment; the clip system lets the panel float out substrate imperfections and suits installation over existing roofs. It gives 14, 16 and 18 in. net coverage in 24 gauge steel or 0.032 and 0.040 in. aluminum, including the OceanGuard coastal aluminum series, in flat, mini rib or striated relief, over 15/32 in. minimum plywood or 1x4 SYP purlins on plywood, at a minimum slope of 2:12. The product page lists Florida Product Approval FL33818.02-R5 (non-HVHZ). Gulf Coast's published UL statement says the fire classification under ASTM E108 and UL 790 is set by the complete roof assembly, including substrate and underlayment or barrier, and not by the panels alone.
