ShingleLayment-HT is Grip-Rite's asphalt-free, high-temperature self-adhering ice, snow and rain barrier: an eight-layer synthetic lamination of spunbond polypropylene, fiberglass and bonding layers with a hot-melt butyl adhesive and silicone release liner, used as an underlayment, ice barrier or closed-valley liner under shingles, tile, metal, slate and wood roofing at a 2:12 minimum pitch. The brochure says it meets ASTM D1970 and ICC-ES AC188, is compatible with PVC and TPO membranes, has up to a five-year shelf life, comes in 3 by 67 foot, 2-square rolls of 28 lb, and lists Florida approval FL12510.1, Miami-Dade NOAs 24-0610.01 and 24-0610.02, NEMO cert D8211376J and "Class A fire rated ASTM E108". Exposure limits disagree: the brochure says it should not be left exposed beyond 30 days, while the product page says it should be covered within 180 days and was UV tested to 360 days. The ShingleLayment warranty covers it for 25 years on a single-family residence and 20 years on other structures, though its remedy clause refers to a twenty- or fifteen-year term.
