Eave & Valley Protector is Grip-Rite's 53-mil self-adhesive ice and water membrane of elastomeric bitumen with glass mat reinforcement and a sanded non-slip finish, applied without primer along eaves, valleys, chimneys, vents and skylights, or over the whole roof, as a secondary water barrier. The product page gives a silicone-treated split-back release sheet, self-sealing around nails and screws, a 40 degree F minimum application temperature, 36-inch by 65-foot rolls covering 195 square feet, and says it meets ASTM D1970 and D5602; the sell sheet says only that it meets ASTM standards.
