GreenGrid's intensive module is its deepest pre-grown tray, 2 ft x 2 ft x 8 in, weighing about 50 to 60 lb per square foot fully vegetated at maximum water-holding capacity. The maker aims it at rooftop gardens and amenity decks, where it is combined with planters, hardscape and lighting, and at functional roofs that need a deeper soil profile for stormwater storage, weight, food growing or drought tolerance. It supports the widest plant range the system offers, including perennials and grasses with mature heights of about 36 to 48 in, with dedicated irrigation required for non-succulent plantings.
