A flat-profile clay roof tile in a traditional Italian pattern, laid with overlapping pan and cover tiles. Per IAPMO UES ER-510 (Table 2), Italian is graded Type III-Flat Profile/Grade 1 under ASTM C1167, measures 18 in. long by 12 in. wide by 5/8 in. thick with a 2.0 in. height, and installs at 19.0 in. center-to-center spacing with a 4 in. head lap for an installed dry weight of 10.4 psf (weight and coverage vary when combined with other tile covers or pans, per the report's Figure 4).
