2300 is a single-component, solvent-based elastomeric tripolymer sealant for roofing, trim, architectural metal, underdeck and solar roof system joints, which the maker says is asphalt-shingle compatible, adheres even when damp, is UV resistant, paintable and can be applied over itself. Its product data sheet lists 1,025 percent elongation (ASTM D412), a 120-minute tack-free time, a 0 to 140 degree F application range, a -40 to 180 degree F service range and an 18-month shelf life, and says colours may not be sold in California. It comes in cartridges and 5-gallon pails; the product page says 10 standard colours are available in plastic along with crystal clear, while its colour selection lists crystal clear plus eight colours.
