GenFlex SBS SA Cap is a self-adhered, granulated SBS (Styrene-Butadiene- Styrene) modified bitumen cap sheet with fire-retardant additives, reinforced with a non-woven polyester mat, designed for low-slope roofs where a torch, hot asphalt or bonding adhesive is undesirable or prohibited on the job site. It is applied over approved insulation, GenFlex film-surfaced base sheets or approved deck types after removing a release film. The product data sheet (PDS 616) lists a typical product thickness of 140 mil against an ASTM D5147 minimum of 130 mil.
